Grace Place Community Center of Calvary Lutheran Church located at 2625A Northern Parkway is offering lunch for school children and is being served from 11am to 1pm, Monday through Thursdays , July 11 to August 19, 2022.
Young adults over 19 years of age: Assistance provided for persons interested in taking the GED test and getting a high school diploma. Help is provided through career training with resume writing assistance. Basic computer skills classes for members of the community. Garden -- Planting Seed and Watching Them Grow
The Community Garden at Faith Community United Methodist Church is maintained by Master Gardeners to feed All of our neighbors. Even the bunnies love the Community Garden. After Sunday Worship, families are invited to take home fresh produce from the gardens. The little ones love it! Crops are picked at the peak of ripeness weekly to share through The Food Pantry. Fresh produce can be picked from The Community Garden Spring, Summer & Fall! Stop by to grab some fresh crops for dinner.
Annual Family Picnic -- Celebrating The Harvest
Every Summer, the families at Faith Community gather for a FUNtastic day in the park! Food, games, family, friends! Our picnics are epic. Games get intense! Food is abundant and the kids have lots of activities to keep them entertained!
